The scandal over the "Piano and Coffe" kiosk, which erupted over the installation of a kiosk on the coast in Odesa on Lanzheron Beach, where there is also a piano, has subsided a bit, but the residue remains.

The Accent analyzed how it happened and why the kiosk appeared on the beach.

Ruslan Drozdov, the regular host of Aksent, fell ill, so he was replaced by Valeriy Bolgan, the editor-in-chief of Intent.

The kiosk was visited by deputies, the head of the Odesa regional administration, Oleh Kiper, and the mayor himself, Hennadiy Trukhanov, and eventually the kiosk was dismantled.

According to journalist Iryna Hryb, the kiosk appeared not without the help of First Deputy Mayor Oleksandr Filatov.

"As for the owners, it's no secret that they are related to Oleksiy Morozov, who is now an advisor to the mayor, and Safoshyn (Konstantin Safoshyn, head of the Department of Consumer Market Development and Consumer Protection - ed.) signed the permit to install it to avoid information leaks, but there was still a public outcry. The passport of reference was provided by the Department of Architecture. Both the head of the department and the head of the department report directly to Filatov," the journalist said.
