The High Council of Justice has decided to dismiss Larysa Chernyavska, a judge of the Prymorskyi District Court of Odesa.

According to the court's press service, the dismissal took place in connection with her resignation.

Larysa Cherniavska began her professional career in October 1992 at the Zhovtnevyi District Court of Odesa, and since 2003 she has worked at the Prymorskyi District Court.

She chaired the hearing of the case of Pavlo Medentsev, a judge of the Economic Court of Odesa Oblast accused of bribery for more than half a million hryvnias. Despite the availability of video evidence, the case was not completed for three years.

In 2019, Larysa Cherniavska, a judge of the Prymorskyi District Court of Odesa, received a complaint about her actions during the consideration of a civil case. However, the First Disciplinary Chamber of the High Council of Justice decided not to bring her to disciplinary responsibility and terminated the proceedings in this case.

The judge's annual declaration indicates that in 2007 Cherniavska became the owner of a 183.5 m² apartment, non-residential premises, and a parking space. In 2021, her family received a 635.5 m² residential building and land plots registered in the name of a relative. Her husband owns a 2019 Lexus RX 450H.

In 2024, the judge earned almost UAH 1.75 million, including her pension. The declaration also shows more than 40 thousand US dollars, 20 thousand euros, and about 1 million hryvnias in cash and on accounts.

At the end of April, the High Council of Justice dismissed the judge of the Bilyaevsky District Court, Serhiy Dranikov, who had been appointed chairman of the court six months earlier. The HCJ also accepted the resignation of Anatoliy Zaikin, a judge of the Odesa Court of Appeal. The judge of the Fifth Administrative Court of Appeal, Stepan Domuschi, was also dismissed.
