The Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi City District Court of Odesa Oblast found a German native who is a citizen of Ukraine guilty of forgery and fined him UAH 17,000.

As stated in the court's verdict, the man found an advertisement on the Internet with a contact phone number that was not established during the pre-trial investigation about the sale of clichés with a round stamp on them for a sum of UAH 2 thousand and forged the conclusion of the military medical commission that the latter was unfit for military service.

Not stopping there, he used the forged document at the Mayaky-Udobne-Palanka checkpoint. The court took into account his sincere repentance and the absence of aggravating circumstances.

The man tried to realize his intention through an acquaintance who advised him to pose as a military man going on vacation abroad. For USD 12 thousand, he purchased forged military registration documents, an extract from an order to grant leave, and a leave ticket.

However, during the conversation with the border guards, the man could not name his commander or his colleagues, and the unit in which he was allegedly serving was disbanded.

In June, the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi City District Court of Odesa Oblast found a soldier from the village of Budyliv, Kozivskyi District, Ternopil Oblast, guilty of forgery and sentenced him to a fine of 17,000 UAH.
