A four-month-old tigress that had escaped from her enclosure on the night of October 25 was found and captured at the Mykolaiv Zoo. The search for the animal continued throughout the day.

Zoo director Volodymyr Topchiy announced this on Facebook.

“We caught her; everyone has the day off tomorrow,” he wrote, canceling the volunteer search scheduled for the following day.

As reported by Intent, the four-and-a-half-month-old tigress had climbed through the bars of her enclosure. Zoo staff searched the area and enlisted the help of a dog handler with hunting dogs. At the time the first report was published, the animal had not yet been found.

The zoo director has not yet disclosed where exactly the tigress was hiding or under what circumstances she was captured.

The news that the tigress had been found sparked joy in the comments. Users congratulated the zoo staff and thanked everyone who had joined the search.

“It’s late—half the city took the day off tomorrow to help search,” joked one user. Another called the tigress a “little pest” who had caused such a commotion, adding, “Thank God it all ended well.”

In the comments, people also suggested the name Maggie—in honor of the heroine from the movie *Runaway Bride*. And another user jokingly asked the tigress, “Where have you been, little tiger?!”

People also expressed hope that the little tigress is healthy and will recover quickly from her adventure.
