Inaccurate information totaling 1.1 million hryvnias was discovered in the financial disclosure statement of Oleksandr Antonenko, a former official of the State Environmental Inspection of the Southwestern District.

This is stated in a report by the National Agency for Corruption Prevention (NAZK) based on the results of a comprehensive audit of Antonenko’s 2024 declaration, which he submitted after his dismissal.

According to the agency’s findings, the largest discrepancy—671,500 hryvnias—relates to the sale of a 2010 BMW X5. In April 2024, Antonenko sold the car but did not report the proceeds in his declaration. He attributed this to an error, but the NACP did not consider his explanation sufficient.

Another 447,200 hryvnias represents the value of a 22.4-square-meter parking space in Odesa. According to the NACP, the official’s family used the space, even though another person was listed as the owner in the documents. The agency took into account evidence that the parking space key was assigned to Antonenko’s vehicles and did not accept his explanation regarding the use of the parking space.

The NACP also identified discrepancies in the information regarding the official’s wife’s property. Specifically, the declaration did not list certain real estate properties, including an unfinished non-residential premises valued at 725,900 hryvnias. According to the agency’s findings, as of the end of 2024, the wife had a financial obligation to pay for this property, as she did not settle the payment until January 2025.

Separate remarks concerned a 2017 Audi Q7. In the declaration, its value was listed as 17,000 hryvnias, whereas, according to an appraisal by the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise, the minimum market value of such a vehicle on the date of purchase was 1,750,810 hryvnias. Antonenko explained the low price by citing the need for repairs, but the NACP did not accept his arguments.

The agency also noted discrepancies in the information regarding the family members’ income, cash savings, and bank accounts. It was not possible to verify the origin of all the declared cash, as the official did not provide supporting documents.

In total, the NACP identified inaccurate information amounting to 1,118,942 hryvnias and 30 kopecks. According to the agency’s conclusion, this constitutes an administrative offense under Part 4 of Article 172-6 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses.
