A fire broke out in Odesa region as a result of a night attack by Russians and a person was injured

A civilian was injured in the Odesa region as a result of a Russian attack on August 8.

According to the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Oleh Kiper, the enemy attacked again with attack drones.

Despite the work of air defense forces, the building of a sewage pumping station was damaged. Also, dry grass caught fire in the suburbs as a result of falling debris. The fire was extinguished.

A guard at a gas station was injured when the blast wave blew out the glass. The man received multiple cut wounds to his arm. Doctors provided him with all the necessary assistance, and he is currently undergoing outpatient treatment.

Law enforcement officers are recording another crime committed by Russians against the civilian population of Odesa region.

On the night of August 8, the enemy attacked Ukraine with a total of 108 air attack weapons: 104 Shahed-type strike UAVs, various types of imitation drones, and eight high-speed (jet) UAVs.

As of 8:00 a.m., the air defense neutralized 82 air targets: three jet drones and 79 enemy Shahed UAVs and various types of imitators in the north, south, east and center of the country. There were 26 UAVs hit in 10 locations, and the downed UAVs fell (wreckage) in eight locations.

On the night of August 4, the enemy again attacked Odesa region with attack drones, and rescuers had to extinguish fires in both Odesa and Odesa district. The fire damaged 50 trade pavilions, eight of which were destroyed to the ground. A large-scale fire was also extinguished in a dormitory that was not in operation. In Odesa district, a private house, whose owner extinguished the fire in his own yard, two buildings and two warehouses were damaged. No one was killed or injured.
