Prosecutors of the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office have sent to court an indictment against the former head of the Velykolepetskyi Elevator State Enterprise. The official is accused of aiding the aggressor state.

This was reported by the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office.

The investigation found that in May 2022, he voluntarily headed the enterprise in the interests of the aggressor and launched large-scale aiding and abetting activities. The traitor acted with the methods of carrots and sticks: through threats and promises, he forced the team to work for the occupiers by introducing payments in rubles.

In addition to registering the company with the Russian authorities, the defendant transferred the property and transport of the elevator to the invaders for more than 5 million. He implemented a similar scheme at the seized Bratolyubivsky elevator, where the state suffered losses of more than 110.5 million.

What was particularly cynical was that the agrarian enterprises, with the assistance of the accused, serviced Russian military equipment. The case was investigated by the SBU. The man faces up to 12 years in prison for aiding the aggressor state.

Earlier it became known that during a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on January 21, a payment mechanism for farmers in Kherson region was agreed upon. The state approved a new financial support program, according to which farmers will receive UAH 4,700 for each hectare of land under cultivation.

A limit has been set: the maximum area for which compensation will be paid per farm is 2,000 hectares. The full cycle of payments is scheduled to be completed by May 1, 2026. An official decree with a detailed description of the assistance mechanism will be made publicly available in the coming days, which will launch the application process.
