In Odesa, a court sentenced a doctor at the city’s Center for AIDS Prevention and Control for justifying Russia’s armed aggression. She was sentenced to two years of correctional labor but was exempted from serving the sentence with a one-year probationary period.
This is stated in the verdict of the Peresypsky District Court of Odessa.
In addition to the probationary period, the defendant was required to periodically report to the probation office and notify authorities of any change in her place of residence or employment.
The court also ordered special confiscation, seizing a cell phone with SIM cards for the state, and ordered the woman to pay nearly 6,000 hryvnias in court costs for the expert examination.

The doctor fully admitted her guilt and actively cooperated with the investigation of the crime. In addition, she voluntarily made a charitable donation to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to the case file, in April 2024, an employee of a municipal nonprofit enterprise repeatedly made remarks in support of the occupiers’ actions during private telephone conversations with other individuals. In particular, she denied the fact of Russia’s armed attack on Ukraine and justified the temporary occupation of Ukrainian territories.
Law enforcement officials documented at least three such incidents. A forensic linguistic analysis subsequently confirmed that her remarks contained justifications for and denials of Russia’s aggression.
