The person involved in the criminal case is a 52-year-old resident of Hola Prystan, who headed a structural unit of the occupation mayor's office in Kherson. She was notified of being suspected.

This was reported by the press service of the National Police in the Kherson region.

According to law enforcement officers, the woman got a job in an illegal body of the occupation authorities to receive a salary. In September 2022, she was appointed "head of the land management department of the Department of Urban Planning, Architecture and Land Resources of the military-civilian administration of the Kherson city territorial community."

According to the police, the accused performed organizational and administrative functions in the illegal administration in the temporarily occupied territory. For this, she was charged with a crime under Part 5 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - "collaboration activities".

The woman was served a notice of suspicion in absence. The sanction of the article provides for five to ten years in prison, deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in activities for 10-15 years and confiscation of property. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.

Earlier, the Kherson City Court of Kherson Oblast found Svitlana Mezherytska, who, before the full-scale invasion , headed the Health Department of the Kherson City Council and was a member of the Kherson Oblast Council from the Nash Krai party, guilty of collaboration.

The court sentenced her to 7 years in prison with a 12-year ban on holding positions in state and local government and in positions related to the provision of public services.

The prosecutor's office also brought to court the case of a 62-year-old teacher from Kherson who headed a department at the occupiers' pseudo-university and implemented Russian standards. She will be tried for cooperation.
