A book by the executioners named the Russian pilots who bombed the Odesa region

The project “The Book of Executioners of the Ukrainian People” has released information on Russian military pilots identified as having been involved in missile strikes on port and logistics infrastructure in the Odesa region in July 2026.

According to the project, military personnel from the 4th State Center for Aviation Personnel Training and Military Testing of the Russian Ministry of Defense and the 929th State Flight Test Center of the Russian Ministry of Defense were involved in the attacks. The strikes were carried out by Su-34M and Su-35S aircraft.

Among the Russian military personnel named in “The Book of Executioners” are Majors Stanislav Gasanov and Dmitry Barsky; Captains Vladislav Kalinichenko, Ivan Zinin, and Viktor Spichka; Lieutenant Colonel Sergey Zvyagin; Colonel Dmitry Tikhonov; and Major Pavel Malikhin.

The list also includes Captain Oleksandr Simachenko and Lieutenant Colonel Andriy Ryumin. Regarding Simachenko, the project notes that full details will be released at a later date.

According to “The Book of Executioners,” the Russian aircraft took off from the Akhtubinsk airfield in the Astrakhan Oblast of the Russian Federation. The missile launch points were located in the airspace near Rozdilne and Mizhvodne in the temporarily occupied Crimea.

In July, Russia intensified its strikes on port and logistics infrastructure in the Odesa region, using drones and guided air-to-ground missiles.

One of the most high-profile incidents was the July 19 strike on the vessel GOLDEN LEO near Odesa. According to the project, nine crew members and a pilot were killed when three missiles struck the ship.

The “Book of Torturers” notes that the ports of Greater Odesa accounted for about 90% of Ukraine’s maritime grain exports, and Russian attacks on port infrastructure and civilian vessels are significantly hindering grain shipments.

Previously, journalists from the Center for Public Investigations also identified Russian military personnel involved in strikes on civilian targets in the Odesa region.

In particular, the Center investigated a missile strike on Serhiivka on July 1, 2022, when Russian forces fired three X-22 missiles. As a result of the attack, the “Gozhi” recreation center was destroyed and a nine-story residential building was damaged; civilians were killed and wounded.

A separate CPR investigation focused on the strike on the“Tiras” residential complex in Odesa on April 23, 2022. Journalists identified one of the Russian servicemen who participated in preparing the missile for launch. The individual in question is Artem Sheikin, who served at the airfield in Engels. Law enforcement officials also identified a Russian officer who, according to the investigation, gave the order to strike the residential complex.
