A 3-year-old child was injured by a Russian missile in the Odesa region

A missile strike on civilian infrastructure in the Odesa region on the afternoon of July 6 resulted in a child being injured.

This was reported by Oleg Kipper, head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration. 

In the Odesa district, three private residential buildings were damaged as a result of enemy shelling involving a cruise missile. Unfortunately, a child—a boy aged 3 years and 11 months—was injured. He was hospitalized at a children’s hospital. Doctors assess the boy’s condition as moderate. Cleanup efforts are underway at the scene, with all relevant services involved. The injured child is receiving all necessary medical care.

On the night of July 6, Odesa was attacked by Russian drones, resulting in injuries to a 23-year-old man. The attack also damaged high-rise residential buildings—where windows were shattered—as well as a parking lot with garages and a private residential house, where a fire broke out. In the Kyivskyi District, five private homes and a dormitory were damaged. Debris removal is ongoing. The tram tracks have already been restored, and public transportation has continued to operate without interruption. In the Khadzhibey district, the area around the buildings has been cleared. A total of 26 claims for compensation have been filed.

On the night of July 4, the Odesa region was alsotargetedby another attack by Russian armed forces, which left two people injured. The attack caused a fire in a warehouse storing food products. Nearby warehouse buildings were also damaged. Emergency responders extinguished the fires that broke out at the site of the strike. 

 On July 1, the Odesa region also came under enemy fire, resulting in casualties and destruction. However, on that occasion, the enemy used a ballistic missile. Two peoplewere killedin the attack. Another 13 people were injured, 11 of whom were hospitalized. 

On the night of June 26, the Russians again attacked energy and civilian infrastructure in the southern part of the Odesa region. As a result of the attack, an energy facility was damaged, leaving several settlements temporarily without power.
