Mykolaiv is planning to build a new public warning system. More than UAH 86 million has been allocated from the budget for this purpose.

This is evidenced by data from the public procurement system ProZorro.

A new construction of a territorial automated centralized warning system in Mykolaiv region is planned. The customer is the Civil Protection Department of Mykolaiv Regional State Administration.

The deadline for submitting bids is December 10, and the auction date has not been specified. The expected value of the procurement is UAH 86 million 162 thousand 855. The minimum price reduction step is 0.50% of the procurement amount, i.e. UAH 430 thousand 814.

The selected contractor must provide a certificate stating information on the availability of equipment and material and technical base, in particular, administrative premises, a vehicle and licensed software.

It is also required to have at least one design engineer in charge of the estimate documentation, an engineer with a university degree in electrical systems and networks, an occupational safety engineer and an electrician for the repair and maintenance of electrical equipment.

The construction of the warning system is to be completed by December 31, 2025.

The plan was to install automated alarm notification systems back in August. There was a need to build 56 automated systems at the local level. Two such systems are already in operation, and local governments have developed terms of reference for more than thirty systems.

Currently, there are 307 sirens, 192 loudspeakers and 4 radio stations in the region to alert the public to threats.

More than UAH 8 million was allocated from the regional budget for 2024 to implement the public protection program. This money was used to modernize the automated warning system and replenish the regional material reserve.

During the 1000 days of the war, almost three thousand air raids were recorded in the Mykolaiv region. The longest alarm sounded for ten hours in a row. The total duration of air alerts in the region amounted to 3,002 hours and 30 minutes, which is more than 125 days of continuous threat. On average, one alarm in Mykolaiv region lasted 1 hour, 2 minutes and 54 seconds.
