80 million tender canceled in Odesa region due to the Bureau of Economic Security

Analysts of the Territorial Department of the Bureau of Economic Security in Odesa Oblast have identified a risky procurement for the reconstruction of buildings and a boiler house at one of the educational complexes in Podilskyi district of Odesa Oblast.

According to the BES, the customer planned to spend more than UAH 80 million on the reconstruction.

The winner of the tender was an enterprise that does not have the necessary material and technical base to carry out such work, i.e. does not meet the established qualification criteria.

In order to prevent the misappropriation of budget funds, the analysts sent a letter of recommendation to the customer with a proposal to reject the submitted proposal and cancel the procurement procedure. As a result, the tender was canceled. According to the BES, this prevented the inefficient use of more than UAH 80 million of budget funds.

Earlier, after Intent' s publications, BES employees canceled a tender for UAH 109 million in Odesa. The money was supposed to be spent on the reconstruction of school No. 39 at 20 Uspenskaya Street, but numerous violations were found in the documents of the company that was chosen to perform the work.

The detectives found that representatives of the local administration had announced a tender for reconstruction work worth more than UAH 109 million.

The winner of the tender was a company specializing in the construction of residential and non-residential premises. However, during the inspection, it turned out that the winning company did not have the proper material and technical base, a sufficient number of employees, and did not meet other qualification requirements for the work.

Also in July, the Territorial Department of the Bureau of Economic Security in Odesa Oblast reported that its analysts had identified several risky tenders where the same company was the contractor. Officials planned to reconstruct the buildings of a maternity hospital in Odesa and a preschool in Berezivskyi district of Odesa region. The cost of the services was over UAH 175 million and UAH 147 million, respectively.
