Over the past six months, 740 million hryvnias have been spent on repairing and reconstructing power grids damaged by Russian attacks. By the end of the year, more than one billion is planned to be allocated for these purposes.

This was reported by the press office of “DTEK Odessa Power Grids.”

According to the company, part of the work involves restoring equipment damaged by Russian strikes. Last winter, the enemy attacked nearly half of the company’s major substations, causing massive damage to energy facilities.

The company is also preparing the grid for the 2026–27 heating season.

In the first six months of the year, power engineers upgraded 928 kilometers of overhead lines and 896 kilometers of underground cables. They also carried out major and routine repairs on 1,200 power facilities of various voltage classes.

In addition, they cleared 1,300 kilometers of overhead line corridors of branches and deadwood. Reconstruction work covered 31 kilometers of overhead lines, and old equipment was replaced at 11 substations.

The company noted that Russian attacks last winter damaged nearly half of all major substations. They plan to complete the main work to prepare the power grids for the upcoming heating season before it begins.
