As of August 25, 1536 court cases have been registered in the occupied Crimea under the article 'discrediting' the aggressor's army. In most cases, fines have already been imposed.
This was reported by Krym.Realii with reference to the Presidential Mission in the ARC.
There are both women and men among the repressed. According to statistics, 51% of the decisions concern women, and 49% - men. In addition, as of August 25, 222 people are illegally detained on the territory of Crimea, most of whom - 133 - are representatives of the Crimean Tatar people.
According to Krym.Realii, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Russia has also been trying teenagers, and the number of articles is growing: high treason, sabotage, terrorism, and justification of terrorism. In the first half of 2025, at least 42 teenagers were detained in the aggressor country on charges of serious crimes. In particular, every fourth person convicted of sabotage in Russia is only 14 to 17 years old.
And Russian propaganda media, when talking about 'teenage' sabotage, almost always mention that Ukraine is involved and claim that Ukrainian special services or anonymous curators were in contact with the children. However, human rights activists emphasize that such cases are indeed isolated and do not confirm the existence of a Ukrainian system of recruiting minors.
Meanwhile, the occupation parliament of the Russian Federation approved a new anthem of Crimea. The music for the new anthem of the peninsula was composed by collaborator Olga Kovitidi, a former Crimean senator from Russia, and Russian poet Ilya Reznik. Their version of the anthem won the competition announced by the State Council of the Republic of Crimea. In total, 122 applications were submitted to the open competition.
The selected work is the winning project, but it is not yet the final version. The parliamentary editorial team will work on the final version over the next two months.
Earlier, the occupiers stated that the current anthem "did not satisfy" the choice of Crimeans, as it "played its historical role, but does not reflect current realities." The new version will be officially presented in September.
