New buses were delivered to schools in Mykolaiv region. In total, the vehicles were delivered to fifteen territorial communities in the region.

This was reported by the press service of the Mykolaiv Regional State Administration.

The educational institutions of the territorial communities of the Mykolaiv region received 15 new school buses. These include Koblivka, Oleksandrivka, Domanivka, Sofiyivka, Bratske, Kazankivka, Voskresenska, Novobuzka, Horokhiv, Pervomaiska settlement, Kryvoozerska, Stepivska, Bashtanka, Bereznehuvata and Berezanska communities.

The ceremonial handover of the keys was attended by representatives of the Mykolaiv Regional State Administration and the head of the Danish Embassy in Ukraine, Jakob Hansen. They handed over the vehicles to representatives of districts and communities in the region.

Vitaliy Kim , the head of the regional education authority, emphasized that safe transportation of children is a priority, and the region will continue to work to improve the conditions for learning.

"These new buses are a joint achievement of all those who contributed to their purchase and implementation. They are a response to the urgent needs of local communities, as the comfort and safety of children is our priority," Kim emphasized.

The project was implemented with the support of Dmytro Tarasenko, an expert from the Recovery and Development Office, which operates on the basis of the Mykolaiv Regional Development Agency. The transport was purchased with the support of the Kingdom of Denmark and UNOPS, which was an important contribution to improving the transportation of schoolchildren in the region.

Also, Mykolaiv foresters, national parks and volunteer units received new pumping stations that will significantly increase the efficiency of extinguishing forest fires by providing a powerful stream of water and foam for rapid response.

And in early March, Mykolaiv community received technical assistance from USAID - diesel generators for utility companies worth more than UAH 6.7 million.

At the end of February, generators were delivered to Mykolaiv's educational institutions to ensure uninterrupted operation during power outages. In particular, Lyceum No. 28 and Gymnasium No. 50 received the equipment. The modern generators will ensure stable power supply to shelters and canteens, allowing schools to operate even in critical situations.
