The prosecutor's office has submitted 15 indictments against 19 people who helped the Russian military conduct strikes. Four of them have already been convicted.

As Andriy Kovalenko, deputy head of the Kherson regional prosecutor's office, told Ukrinform, most of the exposed adjusters acted for ideological reasons, supporting Russian aggression. Some of them received material benefits for their activities.

Currently, 11 suspects are in custody, and four more are being tried in absentia. Pre-trial investigation against three people is ongoing.

The main method of exposing collaborators is covert investigative actions, including monitoring Telegram channels and chatbots created by Russian special services. One example was a resident of Kherson who, since June 2024, has been transmitting data on the positions of the Armed Forces and the results of shelling to the occupiers. Another case was a resident of Kherson who filmed the movements of the Ukrainian military and published the video in the public domain.

The deputy head of the regional prosecutor's office emphasized that so far there have been no cases where the actions of the correctors directly led to the death of civilians. At the same time, he reminded that the illegal dissemination of information about the Armed Forces of Ukraine is punishable by up to 8 years in prison, and high treason - up to 15 years or even life imprisonment with confiscation of property.

Law enforcement officials are urging citizens to be vigilant and report suspicious people who may be collecting data for the enemy.

Kherson is under daily attack by the Russian occupation forces. Numerous explosions are heard in the city, civilians are killed and injured.

As a result of the Russian shelling on February 17, a critical infrastructure facility in Kherson was damaged. This caused a power outage for 2,500 consumers in one of the city's districts.
