12-Year-Old Schoolgirl Vandalizes 5 Tombstones in Ananiev, Mother Faces ₴ 5100 Fine

A 12-year-old schoolgirl painted five tombstones with lipstick in the city of Ananiev, Odesa region. An administrative report was drawn up against her mother and she faces a fine.

This was reported by the press service of the National Police in Odesa region.

They said that on April 8, the special line 102 received a report of vandalism at a cemetery in the city of Ananiev. Relatives of the deceased found that five tombstones had been damaged by an unknown substance.

Law enforcement officers who arrived at the scene found that the monuments had been painted with lipstick by a 12-year-old schoolgirl. According to the police, the girl did it out of curiosity and for fun.

The police emphasized that since the juvenile offender has not yet reached the age of responsibility for the offense, her mother is responsible for her actions.

An administrative report was drawn up against the woman under Part 4 of Art. 184 of the Code of Administrative Offenses. The mother faces a fine of UAH 5100.

At the same time, the child was warned about the inadmissibility of such pranks, and the mother was reminded of her obligation to control her daughter's behavior and where she spends her free time.

Intent has already written that earlier in the Berezovsky district, six tombstones were damaged at a cemetery in one of the settlements of the Raukhiv community. Two boys aged 7 and 8 were involved in the act of vandalism, who went to play mischief without their mother's supervision.

Meanwhile,<span><span> the grave of a fallen servicewoman was desecrated in a village in Mykolaiv region. Law enforcement officers took measures to identify the persons involved in the crime and bring them to justice.</span></span>

Before that, police in Mykolaiv district were looking for the perpetrators who desecrated the grave of a serviceman.
