The Housing and Communal Services Department of the Izmail City Council has announced an open tender with specific requirements to find a contractor for the current repair of the road surface on Sudoremontnikov Street in Izmail.

As Intent's correspondent reported, this is the direction of traffic to the city's port facilities and transshipment points. The relevant information was published in the Prozorro system.

Funding will come from the local budget. The expected cost of the works is over UAH 10.2 million. Sudoremontnikov Street (formerly Artema Street) is one of the key transport arteries of the industrial zone of Izmail. It provides access to the port infrastructure, so it is heavily used by freight transport. The total length of the street is about 1.5 kilometers, but only some of the most worn-out sections are planned to be repaired under this tender.

According to the technical specification, a set of emergency road works is envisaged. In particular, the contractor is to perform cold milling of the asphalt concrete pavement over an area of about 4,000 square meters with a depth of up to 5 centimeters. After that, it is planned to treat the surface with bituminous materials to improve the adhesion of the layers.
The next stage will be the installation of a leveling layer of coarse-grained asphalt concrete. The work will be performed using an asphalt paver, which will ensure the pavement is smooth and durable even under heavy traffic load.

The roadsides will be strengthened using asphalt granulate up to 10 centimeters thick. This should increase the road's resistance to destruction and prevent the edges of the roadway from sinking.

The auction is scheduled for March 26. The deadline for completion is June 30 this year. It should be added that over the past six months, the city has twice invested in the repair of the road on Sudoremontnikov Street for a total of UAH 374.3 thousand. The works were carried out by Izmailagroshlyakhbud (last fall) and SMU-56 (to be completed by March 27, 2026).
