Two occupants robbed a house of civilians in Kherson region

Two Russian soldiers who robbed a civilian house during the occupation will be tried in Kherson region

This was reported by the press service of the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office.

The report says that under the procedural guidance of the Oleshky District Prosecutor's Office, an indictment against two Russian servicemen was sent to court on the fact of violation of the laws and customs of war (Part 2 of Article 28, Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The investigation established that at the end of April 2022, during the occupation of the village of Bilozerka in Kherson district, the accused, together with other servicemen of the aggressor country, broke into a local house and settled there. In June of the same year, the defendants decided to rob the owners and took away valuable property. The occupants stole refrigerators, TVs, stoves, a freezer, agricultural machinery, including a seeder, component parts, electrical appliances and other property. The total value of the stolen goods is over UAH 220 thousand.

The special pre-trial investigation was conducted by investigators of the Main Department of the National Police in Kherson region.

Earlier it was reported that a lieutenant general of the Russian army will be tried for the occupation of Kherson region and crimes against civilians. The investigation established that from February to June 2022, the accused was sent by the highest military leadership of the Russian Federation to the territory of the Kherson region to control the hostilities and ensure the occupation of settlements. For this purpose, he was appointed to the position of commander of a specially created auxiliary point of the "South" military command. The accused was under the command of at least four tactical groups, a special forces unit, an operational group and other units. The Russian Guards subordinated to the defendant, together with other Russian military personnel, participated in hostilities and committed attacks on civilians.
