Smashed windows and wounded people: the consequences of a drone attack near Odesa

For the third night in a row, Russian troops have been attacking Odesa region with attack drones.

According to Oleh Kiper, the head of the JFO, air defense forces shot down most of the enemy drones. However, as a result of the attack in Odesa district, the facade and windows of a nine-story building were damaged, although no fire occurred.

According to the official, five people were injured, three of whom were hospitalized in moderate condition.

The attic floor of the unfinished building also caught fire. The fire was quickly extinguished over an area of 400 m². The glazing of one of the medical facilities was damaged.

Currently, law enforcement officers are recording the consequences of another crime of the Russian occupiers against the civilian population of Odesa region.

Meanwhile, local residents are posting the consequences of the nighttime explosions in Chornomorsk.

The Air Force reported that 21 out of 22 drones were destroyed that night. The air defense system was operating in Odesa, Vinnytsia, and Kyiv regions.

The Odesa Regional Prosecutor's Office reported that a pre-trial investigation had been launched into the violation of the laws and customs of war (Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The air alert in Odesa region was announced on October 8 at 23:59. Soon after, the Air Force reported strike UAVs flying from Mykolaiv region in the direction of Pivdenne. Later, at 02:49, several groups of drones were spotted moving from the Black Sea towards Zatoka and Chornomorsk. The alert was lifted at 03:21.

On the night of October 8, during the Russian attack on Odesa region in Chornomorsk, apartments on several floors of an apartment building caught fire.

The previous evening, the Russians attacked the civilian ship OPTIMA flying the Palauan flag, which was in port in Odesa region. The shelling killed one person and injured five other foreign nationals, crew members.

The day before, on October 6, Russians fired on the civilian shipPARESA, flying the flag of St. Kitts and Nevis, which was loaded with corn for export. It happened near one of the berths in the Pivdennyi seaport. It was the 20th civilian vessel to be damaged by Russian attacks.

On the night of October 3, Russians attacked the energy infrastructure in the Ivanivska community of Berezivskyi district, Odesa region.

On the night of October 2, the Izmail district of Odesa region was targeted by the occupiers.
