A gas pipe burned in Kherson region as a result of shelling

During the day, rescuers of Kherson region went to extinguish fires in the residential sector five times, four of which were the result of enemy attacks.

This was reported by the press service of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Kherson region.

The post says that two residential buildings, two outbuildings and a gas pipe were on fire. The fires have been extinguished.

Also, the night before, the occupiers struck at one of the neighborhoods of Kherson, causing a fire in a residential building. Due to the activity of enemy UAVs, rescuers had to move to a safe place and then return to extinguish the fire. The fire was extinguished. At night, Vysokopil rescuers received a report of a residential building on fire in the village of Ivanivka. The fire was extinguished on the area of 100 square meters. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

The press service added that due to lower temperatures and the beginning of the heating season, the number of fires in residential buildings is significantly increasing, leading to significant material damage, as well as injuries and deaths. Therefore, Kherson rescuers are actively conducting preventive work among the population of the district to prevent disasters. During the communication, the Rescue Service specialists talk about the safe use of heating devices, the rules for handling open flames and gas equipment. They also emphasize the safety rules for detecting explosive devices.

Earlier it was reported that on October 17 in Kherson region, the occupants shelled the town of Beryslav. One of the shells hit an apartment in a high-rise building and a fire broke out. Rescuers extinguished the fire on an area of 40 square meters.

On October 1, Antonovka, a suburb of Kherson, once again suffered from enemy shelling. During the day, Kherson rescuers went to extinguish fires in residential buildings at different addresses three times.
